Funded and Non-Funded places available.
At Pennoweth School we have a wonderful Nursery Class for 3 and 4 year olds, which has both funded and non-funded places available.
When can my child start nursery?
Children can start nursery the term after their third birthday.
What funding is available for my child?
Every child is entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education per week, this starts the term after their third birthday. At Pennoweth this funding is available on a term time basis, over 38 weeks per year.
Some children, if their parents are working for 16 hours or more per week at minimum wage or above, may be eligible for 30 hours funding.

What are the nursery times?
Our nursery day starts at 8.30am and ends at 3.15pm Monday to Friday.
Our sessions are –
Morning 8.30am – 11.30am
Afternoon 12.15pm – 3.15pm
15 hour funding – 15hrs are offered over 5 morning sessions of 3 hours or 5 afternoon sessions of 3 hours.
This is flexible, so if you prefer full days then this can be accommodated over 2 and a half days between 8.30am and 3.15pm.
For children attending a full day they will have their lunch in the school hall.
30 hour funding – This offer will enable your child to attend for 5 full days
Can my child attend for more than their funded sessions?
Where spaces are available additional sessions can be booked in advance, and are charged at the following rates
3 hour session (morning or afternoon) £9.00
Full day £18
Payments for these will be taken through our school payment app ParentPay.
What can my child eat at lunch time?
Please send your child with a packed lunch or a school lunch can be provided at an additional cost of £2.30 please click to see the school menu.
School meals will be charged through our school payment app ParentPay.
Is there any wrap around care?
Before school care runs from 7.45am. Children will be escorted to the nursery at 8.30am.
Cost: £1.50 per day per child
After school care runs until 5.15pm. Children will be collected from nursery by after-school club staff. Children should be collected from the main reception of the school.

How do I apply for a place at nursery?
Please call in to the school office and pick up a Nursery admission form, or alternatively you can email pennowetheyfs@croftymat.org for an electronic copy.
Once we have received your completed form we will add your child to the waiting list and contact you the term before they are due to start.
